SMART SCHOOL

For the universalisation of computer literacy Govt. of India has approved the revised CLASS SCHEME.  T total of 10,000 schools over the period of three years through Kendriya Vidyalayas and six thousand neighbourhood schools are to be covered in three years.  Twenty Kendriya Vidyalayas in Kolkata Region will implement this project from 1^st December, 2005.  One Kendriya Vidyalaya will act as Mother School for 10 neighbourhood schools within a radius of 3-4 k.m. N C E R T curriculum for computer literacy for a duration of six months for classes VI to VIII will be the additional feature of this programme.
